Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif’s break up

pe
ople could sense trouble in the Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif haven for the last few months.

But now, it is being said that their differences have reportedly snowballed into a split. Ranbir has officially moved out of the couple's Carter Road penthouse and is living in his own flat in the suburbs. On Friday, Katrina, who was attending an event in Delhi, was asked by a journalist if the news of her split with Ranbir is true. The actress retorted by glaring at the scribe. Her director Abhishek Kapoor had to intervene to divert the focus to their upcoming film. Again at a fashion show recently, she dismissed questions on the status of their relationship by saying, "This isn't the right place to talk about it." She didn't confirm or deny it. We also heard from sources that a couple of days ago they had a dramatic showdown on the set of 'Jagga Jasoos.' This led to further cracks in their five-year long relationship and compelled Ranbir to move out.

It is being suggested that problems started with Ranbir's fondness for his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone. The two were spending a lot of time together during the promotions of Tamasha. Though it worked for the promotion of the film, back home it irked his girlfriend Katrina. When asked how she felt about the exes working together, she was quoted saying, "I can't enforce my will on the people in my life. Their choices are their own. I may not be happy with them but I hope that as they mature, their choices will change."

The buzz about Katrina and Salman's 'meeting' at a popular suburban studio is said to be a probable cause as well. But our sources say that it was a chance meeting and they spent only a few minutes with each other and went about their own ways. Katrina was there at the studio to dub for her upcoming film and Salman was shooting there with director Ali Abbas Zafar (who had directed Katrina in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan). They chatted for a bit after which she left the venue and Salman proceeded for his shoot.

Opposition from Ranbir's family isn't helping them either. Neetu Kapoor never warmed up to Kat. In fact, she and Riddhima (Ranbir's sister) skipped the annual Kapoor family Christmas lunch this year, where Katrina appeared for the first time. When BT quizzed her about her absence at the family event, she had said, "This year, Samara (her grand-daughter) wanted to see Santa Claus, so we took her to ahotel, but by the time we got done the lunch was over at Shashi uncle's place. We sacrificed our lunch for my grand-daughter." It's sweet, but far from convincing that Neetu, who is so close to the Kapoor clan would give an age-old family tradition a miss.

There are also whispers that Ranbir isn't keen on marriage. Though the two have been living-in for over a year, Katrina has been hoping that he will pop the question sometime soon, which he has been averting on the pretext of focusing on his career.

Happy to know that they broke up.valeriemonteiro valeriemonteiro

People close to the couple are still hopeful that they will kiss and make up at the impending long Morocco schedule of 'Jagga Jasoos.' It isn't a far-fetched expectation. But this is a classic case of two people wanting different things from a relationship.
